Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is not used for protein synthesis but is found primarily in free form in most tissues, especially the nervous system. It functions in tissues by stabilizing cell membranes, facilitating the transport of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium into and out of cells. Taurine helps generate and regulate nerve impulses and helps maintain fluid balance; it is also used by the body in the visual pathways and in the brain and nervous system, where it works with glycine and GABA as a neurotransmitter.

Directions:
Take 1 capsule 1-2 times daily with juice or water, preferably between meals.
